About ElderHearth

Helping the people you love stay home, safely.

Who is behind ElderHearth

ElderHearth is an independent publishing project run by a small editorial team. We are not doctors, nurses, or financial advisors, and we never claim to be. What we do is research each topic carefully, ground every claim in authoritative sources, and write about it in plain, warm language for the families living through it.

We built this site because the practical questions of aging in place, what care really costs, how to make a home safe, who helps pay, are scattered, jargon-heavy, and too often written by people with something to sell. Our goal is simpler: clear, honest, well-sourced help for keeping an aging parent safe and independent at home.

How we decide what to publish

Every article aims to be two things at once: effective and kind.

A note on advice

ElderHearth offers general information, not medical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional about your parent's specific needs.

If you're in the middle of something hard, you're welcome to reach out, or email us at hello@elderhearth.com. We read every message that comes in.
